Marriage & Couple Counseling
The idea of couple and marriage counseling can be intimidating. Often couples will question if it is right for them or if it can even work. These thoughts and concerns are normal. We offer free consultations to meet with both partners to discuss the issues, goals, expectations and fears to bring some ease and clarity for the decision of starting counseling.
Utilizing our training in Gottman Method and Sex Therapy, we work with two different types of couples. Those who are looking to enhance an already fairly stable relationship and those who are struggling and questioning the survival of the relationship. We aim to help couples understand and communicate about underlying issues that are impacting their relationship emotionally and/or sexually. We address key areas such as frequent conflict and arguments, poor communication, emotional distance, conflicting dreams and long-term goals, differences in opinions related to parenting, finances, etc., infidelity and sexual difficulty.
If you are experiencing ongoing relationship disharmony or want to gain a greater understanding of your partner and relationship to deepen the bond, contact us for a consultation.
Sex Therapy
Let’s start with what is sex therapy? Sex therapy is talk therapy and can be offered in an individual or couples’ format. The primary focus is on sexuality, intimacy and relationship dynamics that can arise from sex related issues/concerns.
Second, let’s normalize sex related concerns! Concerns related to sexual health are often not discussed due to discomfort, embarrassment, shame, and even fear, but they are more common than you think.
In sex therapy, together we can address many different areas and problems. Some of which include:

Sexual Dysfunction
Difficulty with Desire, Arousal, Pain, or Orgasm
LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy
Alternative Relationship Structures
Pleasure Enhancement
Out of Control Sexual Behaviors
Difficulty with Sexuality Pre or Postpartum
Kink/BDSM
Individual Psychotherapy
We all have moments where we feel life is not going as planned or we are faced with an unexpected situation/issue we never imaged would occur. This often leads to us feeling stuck and being unsure of the next step.
Whether you are experiencing increased anxiety or depression, dealing with a loss, struggling with self-esteem/confidence, sexual identity and orientation, trauma, facing a life transition or adjustment, we can work together on gaining an understanding of your specific needs and developing effective coping skills to help you become more resilient in your daily life.
We offer free consultations to provide an opportunity to meet and discuss your specific needs and goals for therapy.
Telehealth
What is teletherapy? Teletherapy is talk therapy that occurs outside of the traditional face to face sessions in office.
Sometimes we need some flexibility to accommodate our busy schedules or we prefer the convenience and comfort of having sessions from within our own home. We can connect via phone call or videoconference - all videoconferencing sessions will be conducted through HIPAA compliant software for your security.
Options are available for full use of telehealth if in-person is not preferred or inconvenient or we can use it in combination with in-person visits.
